7 Piece 3/8" Drive 6 Point Magnetic Oil Drain Plug Metric Socket Set 3870D-APX

Gearwrench 7-piece 3/8" drive 6-point magnetic oil drain plug metric socket set (Apex Model 3870D-APX) is a specialized automotive service kit designed to make oil changes cleaner and more efficient. Each socket features a magnetic core that securely holds the drain plug, preventing it from falling into hot oil and allowing for easy one-handed operation. The set includes a 72-tooth GearRatchet™ handle with a minimal 5-degree swing arc, providing the low-profile access needed for modern, crowded engine bays.
Key Features
Specialized 7-piece metric set includes the most common oil drain plug sizes: 13mm, 14mm, 15mm, 16mm, 17mm, and 19mm.
Strong magnetic socket cores hold the drain plug during removal and installation, keeping your hands and tools clear of hot oil.
Includes a 3/8" drive Pass-Thru™ 72-tooth ratchet that provides superior access in tight spaces where standard ratchets cannot fit.
Sockets are manufactured from durable aluminum and feature anodized color-coding for rapid size identification in the shop.
Knurled "speed rings" on each socket allow for quick finger-tightening and removal of fasteners before using the ratchet.
Serrated edges on the sockets provide additional grip, making it easier to handle fasteners that are covered in oil or grease.
Innovative off-corner loading design reduces fastener rounding by directing force to the flats rather than the corners of the plug.
Dual-compatibility design allows these sockets to work with the included GearRatchet™ or any standard 3/8" drive ratchet.
Comes in a durable, heavy-duty blow-molded case for organized storage and protection of the specialized sockets.
Expertly crafted to meet professional automotive standards for durability and high-torque performance on frozen drain plugs.
Backed by a GearWrench full lifetime warranty, ensuring long-term reliability for professional technicians and DIY mechanics.
